The Midlands is home to a vibrant innovation ecosystem built on cutting edge university and private sector research and development. This session will explore some of the internationally significant strengths in the Midlands and showcase the flagship ‘Universities as Drivers of Trade and Investment’ project, bringing together the region’s universities with a joint mission to attract the world’s most innovative companies to the region.  The session will conclude with a discussion of six key asks of government to help the Midlands achieve this goal.  

There will also be a short AGM at the beginning of the session.
