Lord Ravensdale chairs Midlands Engine APPG Energy subgroup

Parliamentarians from across the Midlands heard from the Midlands Engine and others regarding a regional Green Growth Action Plan
Midlands Engine Energy Conversation

On Tuesday 8th November, Lord Ravensdale chaired the first meeting of the Midlands Engine APPG Energy subgroup. The meeting was well-attended and featured presentations from:

  • Rachael Greenwood, Midlands Engine Director, and Peter Ware, Partner at Browne Jacobson LLP, on the Midlands Engine Green Growth Conversation and Action Plan
  • Adrian Smith, Deputy CEO of Nottinghamshire County Council on the East Midlands Development Corporation
  • Professor Martin Freer, Director of the Energy Research Accelerator, on the work of ERA and energy projects in the region. 

The group then discussed the opportunities for parliamentarians to highlight regional energy strengths and opportunities in Parliament and with Government, and to feed into the Midlands Engine Green Growth Action Plan.
